Back on the road, since the trip to Freeland isn't very long we were able to sleep in and depart later than we had on other days. After saying goodbye and a quick stop at Starbucks to say bye to Marlee, we hit the road. We headed up to Coeur D' Alene to see another cousin. We stopped at Ryan's for about an hour then hit the road again and headed into Washington. Stopped for an early lunch at a random Italian joint then headed west. We didn't plan as well as wanted and ended up in Seattle near rush hour and with all the junk in the back this car is no fun to change lanes in. Lucky for us we got in the HOV lane and didn't have to exit for a long time. Another product of our poor planning was not thinking about the ferry. We knew there was going to be a ferry but we didn't plan on waiting for it, or even how to properly wait for it. As a result we may or may not have line cut (which there is a sign that says no cutting and a # to call and report people) and we still had to wait for an hour. Once we got on the ferry it was a quick jaunt over the channel and through the woods to mom's house we go. They had a tasty home cooked meal waiting for us. We spent the rest of the evening relaxing and chatting away the hours.
