Our First Week!

We have survived our first week in Alaska. Which has been amazing so far. I have nothing bad to say.
After our great first day it just keeps getting better. Sunday we went to church and met a few people. Teana met Heizelle Jones who is part owner at a Spa; we talked for little bit and we were going to meet again Monday.
After church Derek had to caught his flight to Juneau till Tuesday. He had to fly up there to fill out paper work for his transfer.
Monday I meet with Heizelle and she offered me a job. I went back on Wednesday to give her a facial. Thursday I went back again to get a facial and Friday I just hung out meet the two other people I will be working with and kind of just learned out they did things.
Other then going to the Spa every day I unpacked the house and have done a lot of shopping and cleaning.
Derek's time in Juneau was uneventful, his paper work took about 2 hours maybe. But he had to stay till Tuesday morning then flew back.
After he got home Tuesday we got all pretty to go to the DMV. We had to take a written test which we both passed. The drivers licenses aren't the best pictures in the world but oh well.
Wednesday Derek had to fly to Petersburg for the day. Best way to describe what he did was kind of like a secret shopper for the TSA. He went to see if they knew how to do their jobs. And they passed.
Friday we got new phone numbers. Verizon doesn't work the best up here so we opted to go with AT&T which works a lot better.
All in all everyone out here has been so nice and helpful. The scenery is amazing. It is still unreal that we are living up here.
